Day 01 : Arrive Jammu. On to Pahalgam (270 kms / 7 hours drive)
Welcome to your “Kashmir – Paradise on Earth tour! On arrival at the Jammu airport or Jammu railway station (on your own), you will drive to Pahalgam. Arrive Pahalgam and check in to your hotel.
Day 02 : In Pahalgam
The day is at leisure to admire the beauty of this quiet place. One can enjoy a pony ride to nearby places like Chandanwadi (ponies can be hired directly) or simply walk along the River Lidder.
Day 03: On to Srinagar (97 KIms / approx 4 hours drive)
Today you will drive to Srinagar. En route visit the Awantipura ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. On arrival into Srinagar, check into your hotel/houseboat. In the afternoon visit the temple of Shankaracharya and the Mughal Gardens.
Day 04 : Day Excursion to Sonamarg (82 kms/approx 4 hour drive, one-way)
Today you will proceed on a day excursion to Sonamarg, the ‘Meadow of Gold’. Enjoy a pony ride on the glacier (ponies can be hired directly).
Day 05 : Day Excursion to Gulmarg (52 Kms/ approx. 2 hours drive , on-way)
Drive to Gulmarg known as the ‘Meadow of Flowers’. Enjoy a fun-filled pony ride and gongola rides (on direct payment). Then return to Srinagar. In the evening experience a romantic “sikara ride” on the Dal Lake.
Day 06 : On to Katra ( 270 kms/ approx. 7 hours drive)
This morning drive to Katra where you will check into your hotel on arrival. The evening is at leisure.
Day 07 : In Katra
Today embark on a 13 km trek to the Vaishnodevi Mata Shrine (ponies can be hired on direct payment basis). After darshan you will return to your hotel late at night.
Day 08 : On to Jammu ( 56 kms/ approx 2 hour drive)* Return home with happy memories.
