Day 01 : Arrive Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri * On to Kalimpong
We come to your ‘Splendours of the East’ tour! On arrival at the Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station ( on your own), you will be transferred to Kalimpong for a stay of one night.

Day 2 : On to Gangtok
This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kalimpong. Later in the afternoon proceed on a picturesque drive to Gangtok where on arrival you will check into your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free.

Day 3 : In Gangtok
Proceed on a city tour visiting Do Drul Chorten, the Enchey Monastery and the marvelous collection of orchids in the Orchid Sanctuary.

Day 4 : In Gangtok * Visit Tshangu Lake
Early in the morning depart for a half-day excursion to Tshangu Lake. Enjoy a Yak ride aroung this lake (on direct payment basis). The rest of the time is at leisure.


Day 5 : On to Pemayangtse
This morning proceed on drive to Pemayangtse, en route visiting the Rumtek Monastery. Arrive into Pemayangts4e, where you will check in to your hotel.

Day 6 : In Pemayangtse
Today you will proceed on a half day sightseeing tour including a visit to the Khecheopalri Lake.

Day 7 : On to Darjeeling
This morning you will visit the Pemayangtse Monastery following which you will drive to the Victorian Hill Station of Darjeeling. On arrival you will check in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free for shopping.

Day 8 : In Darjeeling
This morning ( around 4 am), you will drive to Tiger Hill to witness the Sunride over the fabulous views of the famous Mt. Kanchendzonga (28,208 ft) (subject to clear whether conditions). Later visit Ghoom Monastery and other places of interest. The evening is free.


Day 9 : On to Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri * Return home with happy memories.
Today bid farewell to your ‘Splendours of the East” tour, as you are transferred to Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station for your onward journey.

Sikkim Delight

Duration :8 Days / 7 Nights

Destinations Covered: Ex Bagdogra-New Jalpigguri-Pelling-Gangtok-Lachung-Yumthang


Day 1: Arrive Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri * on to Pelling
Welcome to your ‘Sikkim Delight’ tour! On arrival at the Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station (on your own), you will be transferred to Pelling where on arrival you will check into your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.


Day 2 : In Pelling
Today you will proceed on a half day sightseeing tour including a visit to the Khecheopalri Lake.


Day 3 : On to Gangtok

Proceed on a picturesque drive to Gangtok. En route you will visit Ravangla – a small township in South Sikkim. On arrival in Gangtok you will check into your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free.

Day 4 : In Gangtok * Visit Tshangu Lake

Early in the morning depart for a half-day excursion to Tshangu Lake (one has to obtain a permit directly in Gangtok to visit Tshangu Lake). Enjoy a Yak ride around this lake (on direct payment basis). The rest of the time is at leisure.

Day 5 : On to Lachung.

Today you will drive to Lachung,. En route enjoy a stopover at Tashi View point, which offers a panoramic view of the mountains. On arrival at Lachung you will check into your hotel. Later visit the Phodong Monastery and Chumthang Valley, twin falls and Vima falls.


Day 6 : Visit Yumthng Valley * On to Gangtok
Early this morning you will proceed on an excursion to Yumthang Valley located at an altitude of 12000 feet. En route visit the Hot Spring and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. In the afternoon you will return to Gangtok, where on arrival you will check in to your hotel.


Day 7 : In Gangtok
This morning enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour visiting Rumtek Monastery. Droul Chorthen Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom & the Enchey Monastery. The evening is at leisure.


Day 8 : On to Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri * Return home with happy memories.

Day 2 : Excursion to Tshangu Lake
Early in the morning depart for a half-day excursion to Tshangu Lake. Enjoy a Yak ride around this lake (on direct payment basis). The rest of the time is at leisure to shop around the Tibetan market.


Day 3 : On to Kalimpong (85 kms / approx. 3 hour drive)
This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Gangtok. In the afternoon proceed on a drive to Kalimpong where on arrival you will check into your hotel.



Day 4 : On to Darjeeling (70 kms / approx. 3 hour drive)
In the morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Dello hills, Dr. Graham’s Home and flower Nurseries. This afternoon you will drive to Darjeeling where on arrival you will check into your hotel.


Day 5 : In Darjeeling
This morning (around 4 am) you will drive to Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over the Eastern Himalayan peaks with fabulous views of the famous Mt. Kanchendzonga (28,208 ft) (subject to clear whether conditions). Onreturn to your hotel visit Ghoom Monastery and other places of interest. The evening is free.


Day 6 : On to Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri (95 kms/approx 3 hour drive)
