Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Kunming

Arrive in Kunming, known as Spring City in China, is the capital city of Yunnan Province. Upon arrival, you would be met by your guide and transferred to hotel for rest.

Day 02 : Kunming (B, L)

A full day excursion takes you to the Stone Forest, one of the natural wonders of the area, and a typical Karstic Landscape. Then you will visit The Western Hills and The Dragon Gate about 15km from Kunming city, is a range of four mountains stretching over 40 kilometers. Western Hills contains the best scenery with numerous temples constructed here over the centuries. The Dragon Gate is a system of grottoes and tunnels dug and hacked into a mountain-top cliff by a group of Taoist monks between 1781 and 1835.

Day 03 : Kunming/Dali (B, L)

Fly to Dali in the morning, you will be met by your guide and transferred to hotel. The tour begin with The Chongsheng Temple, which is commonly known as Dali Three Pagodas, is built between 822 and 859. The three pagodas have survived more than 30 strong earthquakes in the past 1,000 years and stand intact a marvel of architecture; it is a major national treasure under preservation. Then tour the Erhai Lake and enjoy the Folk Songs and Dances of the Bai ethnic minority while the famous Three Course Tea presented. You will find the crystal blue lake and the green mountain range nearby look alike a Chinese painting. After visiting Erhai Lake, you can visit one of the ancient city of Dali's core attractions for foreign travelers is Huguo Lu, also known with locals as Yangren Jie or "Foreigner's Street". This street is where the famous cafes and guesthouses cluster along with souvenir shops and other interesting stores to create a little tourist paradise. Huguo Lu is the major reason that Dali has developed into a backpacker's paradise with cheap beer, Western food, and lodging. Currently, forty thousand tourists visit Dali annually and "Foreigner's Street" has expanded into neighboring streets including Bo'ai Lu and Fuxing Lu.

Day 04 : Dali/Lijiang (B,L)

Today, the tour start with visiting Xizhou Village, which is one of the Bai ethnic minority villages around the Erhai Lake and has historic prominence with a cluster of over 100 protected buildings. The houses of local residents are characterized by a traditional Chinese rectangular courtyard with a screen wall facing the gate. Then you will drive to Lijiang. Lijiang, bordering Tibet, is a small town with a spectacular mountain backdrop. After arriving, you will visit the Black Dragon Pool, and the Dongba Culture Exhibition Museum, which represents the Dongba Pictographic Characters and Naxi Minorities mysterious Culture, some of which still use the matriarchal social system up till today. Late afternoon, tour the Ancient Town of Dayan, a World Heritage Site in China recognized by the United Nations in 1999. Check into the He Xi Hotel, one of the typical guesthouse located in the ancient town.

Day 05 : Lijiang (B, L)

Visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to visit Yak grassland, and tour the Baisha Mural in Baisha Naxi minority village. The tour will continue to The Old Town of Shuhe is another ancient town in Lijiang, which is just 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) to the northwest of the Old Town. The largest stone arch bridge in Lijiang was built here: Green Dragon Bridge. Both of these towns can be reached from the Old Town by foot or bicycle.

Day 06 : Lijiang/Zhongdian (B, L)

Full day tour takes you to northwest of Lijiang Old Town to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge, which is believed to be the deepest gorge in the world. Then have a visit of Stone Drum (Shigu) Town. This ancient town is named after a drum-shaped marble plaque. The stone drum is a monument commemorating the victory of Lijiang's Naxi ruler over an invading Tibetan army. Continue driving to Zhongdian and check into hotel.

Day 07 : Zhongdian/Kunming (B, L)

After breakfast in the morning, you will visit Gedan Songzanlin Monastery, also called Guihua Monastery, is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan province, as well as one of the 13 large lamaseries in the Kangzang region (the joint area of Tibet, Sichuan and Yunnan). Drive 40 minutes to Pudacuo Scenic Area. Make a tour at Shudu Lake and Bitahai Lake. After the tour, transfer to the airport and fly to Kunming. Meet and check into hotel for rest.

Day 08 : Kunming (B, L)

After breakfast, you will visit Flowers and Birds Market, which is famous for its year-round mild climate, Kunming is often called Spring City. The famous in Jingxing Street is the city's biggest, most attractive shopping market. Then continue the tour to Cuihu Park (Green Lake Park). It is one of Kunming's major parks and is predominately a lake surrounded by greenery. It has a large and elaborate network of waterways and winding paths, with broad, lotus-covered pools and overhanging willows. It is a place where thousands exercise, do taijiquan, sing and feed the flocks of black-headed gulls. Located in the west side of the park is the statue of one of Yunnan's most famous patriots - Nie Er, the composer of China's national anthem. It will be free in the afternoon

Day 09 : Kunming (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
