Overview

The Dodital – Darwa Pass Trek is a 6-day Himalayan adventure through the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Known for its sacred Dodital Lake (believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha) and the summit climb to Darwa Pass (4,150 m), this trek offers a blend of mythology, alpine beauty, and panoramic Himalayan views of Bandarpunch, Kala Nag, and the Gangotri range. The trail passes through oak, deodar & rhododendron forests, peaceful meadows, and charming mountain villages, making it one of the most enriching treks in Uttarakhand.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Delhi - Dehradun (255 kms Drive: 5:30 Hrs)

Morning departure from Delhi. Our Car & driver will arrive at your residence at 6:00.A.M, and will drive to Dehradun which is approx 255 kms from delhi and should take around (4 - 5 hrs). On arrival, check in to the hotel of your choice and rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight in Dehradun.

Day 02: Dehradun – Uttarkashi – Sangam Chatti – Bebra Campsite (Drive + 3–4 hrs trek)

Arrival at Dehradun → Drive to Sangam Chatti via Uttarkashi → Trek to Bebra Campsite through Assi Ganga Valley forests. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 03: Bebra – Manjhi – Dodital Lake (5–6 hrs trek)

Morning leave for trek via pine & rhododendron forests → Reach Dodital Lake (3,080 m), a sacred lake associated with Lord Ganesha. Overnight camping by the lake.

Day 04: Exploration around Dodital Lake

Day at leisure to explore the lake surroundings → Short hikes, trout fishing (with permit), birdwatching, and forest walks.

Day 05: Dodital – Darwa Pass Base (3–4 hrs trek)

Steep climb towards Darwa Pass Base through alpine meadows. Camping with views of snow-capped peaks.

Day 06: Darwa Pass Summit (4,150 m) – Return to Dodital (6–7 hrs trek)

Early morning leave for the trek to Darwa Pass Top → Witness sunrise over Bandarpunch, Kala Nag & Gangotri peaks → Return to Dodital for overnight stay.

Day 07: Dodital – Bebra – Sangam Chatti – Dehradun (Trek + Drive)

Descend to Sangam Chatti → Drive back to Dehradun. Trek ends.

Overnight in Dehradun

Day 08: Dehradun - Delhi (255 kms drive, approx 530 hrs)

Morning leave for delhi after breakfast. on arrival drop at your residence.
